What songs help you process the betrayal?
Music has always been a source of inspiration for me. I found much solace in Shane and Shane worship music. These are 10 songs that span a variety of genres and artists that speak to betrayal on a deep, personal level.
For example, in “Liar” Noah Cyrus captures the breaking of betrayal when she sings, “You always break a heart when you break a promise, I guess I didn’t practice what I preach.” She further describes truth coming to light: “But the truth always comes out, in the silence, it rings loud, where there’s smoke, there’s a fire.”
All of these songs have powerful lyrics to both inspire and provide space for grief as we bear our pain and brave connection and process betrayal in our journey.
